It's always fun to start a new project. What lies ahead is much more interesting than where we are. Such is nature of the human being, I guess. Never satisfied with what he has.

This is the new web site of our school, Isummasaqvik. It's a small but lively school situated in Quaqtaq, Nunavik. It's sitting right at the junction of the Ungava Bay and the Hudson Straight. It was a well known gathering point for Inuit that came here to hunt belugas, walrus and the majectic polar bear.

Our school count about 110 students, from kindergarten to secondary 5. Inuktitut, french and english can be heard through the day. If you listen well, you might catch some students practicing their second language!

We will populate this web site throughout the year, keeping track of the many activities that are being organized everyday by the teachers of the school. We hope that you will have a good time reading and watching what we have to say about us. It's not much, but it comes from our heart.
